Terrible back pain.

Just curious if anyone has experienced any contractions in your back. I never had any with DS #1, but I have had a few of these HORRIBLE pains in my back that last about 2 minutes. They are not very low and they are only on the left side around my kidney area. They are no where near consistent but just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this.

    I've had back contractions..but they don't last two minutes... and it is all over my back and front. You sure you don't have a kidney infection?

    I had that with this pregnancy at about 25 weeks.  I initially thought it was a kidney infection/stone and went to get it checked out.  Dr. said it was round ligament pain.  Apparently the ligaments are attached in that general region. 
    I've had it a few other times since then and it is not fun.  A warm heating pad helps.  Good luck.

    Thats what I initially thought but they checked at the Dr. the other day, and they aren't consistent at all, maybe like 2 or 3 a day.

    I had back labor with my DD, and it felt like a low back ache. Kinda like menstrual cramps in the lower abdomen and lower back. When labor was just starting out, the back pain came with the contractions... later on in labor the back pain was constant.

    I'm no expert, but I'd think if it was not low on your back it wouldn't be contractions?
