Would you call L&D? I'm a wk overdue. They don't really hurt, just a real tight uncomfortable feeling that extends all the way down starting from the top of my bump.

Re: contractions, would you call?

  • Those seem pretty regular. I think I would call and ask them what they want you to do.

  • Yes, you should call the dr if you are having contractions.  THEY will tell you what you should do.

  • YEA!  Hell, if I was even a day late I'd be going into the OB office every freaking day, but that's me.
  • FVCK that I would just go deliver in the tub...

really though if I was OD and was having them I would just go and prayed they kept me there...play with your nipples on the way get them bad boys really rolling!

    Keep us posted.

  • Nah I wouldn't call....I would just keep.on.wondering. Huh?

Same here.  Why bother asking a medical professional about it when you can ask just random internet strangers (where probably 50% of then have yet to give birth for the first time).

  • Nope. I'd continue to fvck around on the Internet asking lay people what they think I should do.

Give your head a shake and call your MW/OB.

  • Thanks ladies. Was just looking for insight from those that have had experience with it. I did call, said to wait til 5 min apart and call again.

  • In all honesty, I'd probably wait it out. They aren't 5 minutes apart and they don't hurt.

this is what i was going to say.  i'd wait until they're closer together and then head to l&d.  of course, i waited until mine were 3 min apart and i couldn't talk to leave but i refused to go if i thought there was even a chance they'd send me home or make me stay in a bed.

Definitely this. But I'm in the "wait until labor is really really going before going to the hospital" camp.

    DS2 - Oct 2010 (my VBAC baby!)

  • I would definitely wait.  Why go to the hospital when you can be at home comfortable?  They probably will send you home if you're not ready anyway.
