Re: Kids' Halloween costumes that are scary... for all the wrong reasons

  • My DH has a friend who thinks it would be awesome to dress DS as a pimp for Halloween once he is born.  I say, "Uh...not happening!!"

  • I agree on the pimp costume, not too cool with that.  But the devil outfit?  If she wasn't wearing the come-hither expression and the boots, like maybe black tights and regular shoes instead, I wouldn't have a problem with it.  I have a picture of me and my best friend when we were like six and she was wearing a princess outfit that was similar to the devil one in this article (tank top and tutu bottom) and I was dressed like a cat in a leotard and fishnets.  In no way did we look "sexy."  We looked like kids.  I think people get way to caught up in their own grown-up issues around halloween costumes.

  • That devil costume was much tamer than many of the outfits that I saw last year in my neighborhood.  A lot of them looked like more like lingerie than a costume.
