According to your profile you aren't due until 11/8. Getting the baby out early should be the furthest thing from your mind at this point.
And to answer your question - most doctors will say that very few home remedy inductions (sex, teas, foods, massages) will work if the baby isn't ready. But others will say the prostaglandins in sperm can cause contractions. I personally am on pelvic rest becuase my DD was premature and I am high risk for PTL (I also take shots and pills to prevent PTL)... So... "better safe than sorry" is my mantra and I guess high risk doctors feel that there is enough of a risk of sex triggering labor to restrict it for high risk women.
For some reason I'm finding it really funny that "it sometimes makes the baby stay in longer." I'm picturing that all the thrusting is like "nailing" (no pun intended) the baby in longer. Like it was trying to come out, but then your husband beat it back and now it will stay in longer.

OP are you really only 33 weeks and wanting to get baby out? Your child would be premature and most likely wind up in the NICU because lung development isn't even complete. If you are this patient now I can't wait to see how you will be with a crying, screaming, pooping, peeing newborn.
I am 33 weeks as well and pregnancy can be uncomfortable but deal with it. I am hoping my LO stays in until he is at least full term regardless of how uncomfortable I am.
I'm not ready for him to come out right this minute. I was just asking this question because i saw a different post about having sex and hoping the baby comes early and i had read somewhere that having sex can make the baby stay in longer.
Re: Helping Baby Come Early???
I read that sometimes it's smart to let the baby come on his/her own.
This.
How far along are you?
::apologizes to J&MS for stealing her lightbulb::
I don't know how comfortable you are, but I tried it with my first and it HURT. Crazy swollen down there.
If you can handle it, you can always try.

haha NICE! I didn't even know there was a lightbulb icon.

Semen must act like spider man's web and stop anything from moving up in there.
HAHAHAHA!
Lol it clogs up your cervix! A semen plug.
LOL. Waaaay more effective than those stupid mucous plugs!
It's a scientifically proven fact. I read it on the internet.
