What carrier would you recommend?

I am looking for some advice on which carrier to purchase. I have been looking at a lot of them online and my head is spinning from all the options!

DS is almost 2 months old and weighs about 12 lbs now. I have the moby wrap and really like it, but I would like something that will last me until DS is much bigger and is a little easier to take on and off. I dont mind the wrapping, but it can be tough to do while we are out and about.

Id like something that he can face both in and out, and back carry as well would be a plus. I had the Bjorn with DD, and hated it, I could never get her in it easily for some reason.

What would you recommend?

Re: What carrier would you recommend?

  • My first thoughts are the Beco Gemini or the Pikkolo. These are the only carriers that you can face out in.  I would also say a woven, if you do a high back carry and hip carries you won't need the facing out method.

  • I vote a woven, I find them to be easier to put on than the moby!

  • I was going to suggest the Ergo because I personally love it and you can do front and back carries with it , but if you are looking for something that can face in/out I would agree with the PP that suggested the Beco Gemini.  I have heard a lot of good things about it.

    GL!

  • Tabitha said exactly what I was thinking.
  • I absolutely love our pikkolo! It's awesome and dd loves it.

I have heard great things about the gemini as well - though from what I can tell it won't last you as long (in terms of how much lo weighs....)
