XP: stripping different materials?

also on EFF where i just lurk

i'm assuming i can strip everything the same way? and all mixed in together?

we're having serious repelling issues, and have a stash mixed of hemp, bamboo, MF, etc. i've only ever used hot/boiling water to deal w/leaking or stink probs before, but i think we're past that this time.
