AW: Sleep Success!!

Okay, so I posted earlier this week about starting to help Trevor go to sleep on his own. I was going to stay with him untill he falls asleep, but not nurse him. I've been reading him a story downstairs, nursing him on the couch then bringing him upstairs to our bed.

So day 1, he screamed and cried for almost a full hour. I kept laying him back down in our bed and telling him it was "nigh, nigh", rubbing his back, etc. He kicked, screamed but eventually calmed down, stayed laying down and fell asleep.

Day 2, he threw a tantrum harder than I've ever seen him. He actually tried to bite my face Embarrassed . But he actually only cried for 25 mins. Then he layed down on the bed and fell right to sleep.

Day 3, No crying what so ever!!! It did take him about 25 mins of twisting and turning to fall asleep. But he did it!!

Day 4. DH took him upstairs to put him down. He cried for about 10 mins and then fell right to sleep! This is amazing for him, DH has never put him to sleep in 19 months. Big Smile

I'm so happy that this is actually working and even though he did cry for those first two nights..I was with him the whole time trying to comfort him.
