NBR: bridal shower gift

I forgot to shop for a shower on Sunday.  Both registries are pretty cleared out, plus both stores are a little far for me (Macys & Pottery Barn.)  I don't like receiving gift cards so I'd like to avoid that.  Any unique ideas of what I should get them?

    My sister received a fabulous gift for her shower and I always forget about it... friends of theirs gave them 5 different board games.  They were all wrapped and stacked up like a big tower.  It was an awesome idea and they loved it.  I think I would throw in a 12 pack of beer just for fun, depending on the couple.

    You could look at their registries and see if there are any themes. Does it look like they have an thing for baking, BBQing or a particular sport or another hobby? If you see something then you can buy them a book on that subject (think cookbook or something about entertaining, camping, hiking etc).

    I'm totally picturing wrapping them each in white paper and stacking them biggest up to smallest so it looks like a wedding cake sort of.  I could even put a bride & groom cake topper on top.

    I think it depends on the games you choose and how the couple is.  DH and I definitely are game nerds but we like having our friends over and we'll play a game or two while having some drinks.  There are a lot of party type games out there, as well as some new trivia type games.  I think stacking them like a cake is an awesome idea.  How well do you know the couple?  That could determine what types of games to get.  Give the gift receipt in case they have the game already...

    They are definitely drinkers and social so I was thinking more party games- taboo, uno, pop culture trivia games, maybe even a small thing of dice as the top tier for drinking games vs. scrabble and trivial pursuit ya know? And definitely a gift receipt! I probably won't give beer too since they are having a bottle of wine wishing well.  Too much for me to carry anyway!  Thank you so much for your help, I think you saved me!

    a laundry basket of cleaning supplies, dish soap, laundry soap,  lysol, put tissue and tp and paper towel dust pan.  its all stuff we all use and everyone loves it i have done this as a house warming gift too i usally use a recycle bag like target or giant or something cloth she can shop anywhere with

    How about a gc for Snapfish or something like that along with a cute photo album.

    Catch Phrase is a fun game.  A new deck of cards would be a nice addition with the dice too.  Have fun shopping.  Glad I was able to help.
