3rd Trimester

DH, he tries...

After long consideration, we opted to use a travel crib for the bedroom for the first few months until we're ready to put LO in the crib in the nursery. So DH had to take the crib down and reinstall it in the nursery last night. I was putting the bumpers on today and I realized DH didn't put the crib together right, and actually created a hazard for baby. Problem is that this crib was purchased second hand (yes, I did check to make sure it wasn't recalled), and it didn't come with instructions on how to put together. I realize we could have searched the model number online, found instructions and put the crib together correctly... but I assumed DH knew what he was doing. Now I'm not sure what to do, because it seems like he lost parts or something. Ugh. FWIW, the screws that he used to install the front part of the crib to the body appear to long and have extended beyond the wood by at least 1/4".

  • that can't have even looked right lol. Sweet of him to try though. DH didn't come anywhere near our crib. I put it together myself lol. DH is not a handyman thats for sure.

Ugh, isn't that the truth about my DH, too. I have made it a point to put everything else together myself. DH usually doesn't read the instructions anyway, and then I find that he put something on backwards or upside down, LOL.
