Is this bad? (sleep related)

I tried to nurse my LO to sleep and she just wouldn't go to sleep so I brought her out to the livingroom and let her play with her toys on the floor (with a comfy quilt under her and on carpet) and now she fell asleep! I'm thinking of just leaving her there and when she wakes up to eat (prolly a couple of hours) taking her back to the room and trying again. Do you think that's ok? I moved her toys away and I'm right here watching her.

  • For sure! I lay my DS on a quilt onb the floor for tummy time and he is rolling a bit now so he wears himself out fast. He will clonk out and if I move him he will sometimes wake up and be so grumpy and unhappy. I also move away the toys and stay in the room till he wakes up. You should be good.

  • Thanks, I guess it just feels weird because it's so late here (11pm), like she's up past her bedtime even though she's asleep.

  • Heck, I'd dance a jig :)

No seriously, it should be fine. Just stay close by :)

This!  OMG if DS fell asleep like this, I don't know what I'd do with myself!!  In fact, there are so many things I could do, I'd get overwhelmed haha!  And yeah, I wouldn't risk moving her.  If DS wakes before a certain amount of time, he's mr. crankypants -- I imagine it's kinda like waking up groggy/icky from an afternoon nap!
