i am not sure why it bugs me so much but mayb because he is in the 50 percentile for weight he isn't huge! i mean he's tall mayb thats it..

i am just sick of hearing it over and over again and want a good come back

You could just tell them you don't know how to respond to a comment like that. I get it a lot - it doesn't bother me. It's like if someone comments on him having a lot of hair - it doesn't reflect me or anything I've done so I just smile and nod b/c he did have a lot of hair when he was a newborn.

People tell me DD is huge all the time. Its not an insult. Don't read into it.

i just saw "thank you, he's a big, healthy, breastfed boy." I don't take it negatively. My LO is in the 97th %ile for weight and 95th for height. He's wearing 6mo clothes. I get this constantly.

My kid is rather "large" and I get "linebacker" and "monster baby" comments all the time. People really don't mean it as an insult, it's a compliment. Just smile and say "Yep, he's a big guy! Nice and healthy!" Not that small babies aren't healthy, replace big with little and that would work, too!

DD is tiny (30th percentile for weight, 37th for height) and people always say she's a peanut... if they question her size, I just say she had trouble gaining weight at first but she's making a comeback!

DS is a pretty big guy. He's around 16 lbs at 3 1/2 months and 26 inches long, but for some reason, no one believes me when I tell them his weight. "Oh, he doesn't look that big, how old is he?" Um...yeah, he kinda is that big. Maybe it's just that he's proportionate and not a short chubby baby that people don't believe me.

I usually just ignore it. All babies are different someone has to be the smallest and someone has to be the largest. Emily is in the 75th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height. I think she is just perfect for her and that is all the matters.

Just say yep he is healthy or just smile and move on. My baby is on the higher end for height and in the middle for weight. But at his 2 month the dr. thought he was small and needed to fatten him up basically. But we didn't really agree-next time we took him they said he was fine. Some people would talk about him being big and some people don't think he is cubby enough for a baby.
