I'm just wanting to do a poll out of curiosity on what most of the people's age is on here. Today DH and I was talking about the average age for women to have their first baby. How old were you?[Poll]
This will be my first baby. I am due in October AND my bday is also in October, so 28 or 29. :P
Not everyone on 3rd tri is a second time + mom!
I know. I'm a first timer as well, but I was just trying to clarify. That's awesome about your birthday! DH's birthday is 4 days after our LO's DD. It doesn't feel like it should be almost Oct. yet.
I had my first 3 weeks before I turned 21. It was planned(everyone asks) and I had been married for almost 2 years. Now I am having my 3rd at 32! I was a young bride and mommy! I can't wait to see everyones responses, cool poll!

I was wondering bc it wasn't worded that way, ya know? Plus a lot of people ask questions on here that would probably be better answered on the other boards, like 0-3 and so on.
DH's bday is my EDD (We're all October babies around these parts!) I wish it was October now! I am more than ready for this to be over with.
This will be my first baby and I am 28. DH and I are definitely on the young end compared to most of my peers. Most women I know have their first baby around 30 or so.
Married to DH since 6/30/2007 Me: 32 DH: 32 BFP #1: 4/1/2010 DS born: 12/3/10 TTC #2 since 5/2014 BFP # 2 : 6/16/14 EDD: 2/25/15 Missed Miscarriage discovered 7/10/14 D&C 7/17/14 Pathology results normal BFP #3: 10/21/14 EDD: 7/6/15 11/24/14: Saw heartbeat!
I was 18. Just out of highschool, literally a couple weeks. Finding out I was pregnant was deffinatly an unexpected surpirse, but I couldn't imagine my life without him and wouldn't change anything about my life now. Now I'm expecting my second at 20.
DH is two years older than me so he was 20 when DS was born and will be 22 with this one
I'm having my first baby hopefully while I'm still 21. If not then I will not be happy on my birthday because I will be 13 days past my EDD and I will probably be paranoid about going into labor that entire day because the last thing I want is my baby born on my birthday. After all, who wants to share their birthday with a close family member and on select years a major holiday? You think it may be fun but I can tell you I already hate when I share my birthday with Thanksgiving because then my birthday magically morphs from my birthday to stuff your face day.

I had my first at 24. That was perfect. I feel ancient to be 31 and being pregnant. I definately am feeling this one way more.
I am 25 and this is my first. We've been married since we were 19 and weren't preventing at first, just wanted to let whatever happen. Then when I was diagnosed with PCOS we decided not to use fertility meds until after college.
Out of my married friends (not very man) I'm one of the oldest though (other girl was also 25 then). Most of them had their first (at this point only) LO when they were around 21. At my church in previous generations the average age the girls got married was 19-20 and then they had their first LO about 2 years later. With this generation more of us are waiting to get married (seriously, never ever thought I'd get married at 19!) and are going to college etc. So right now I'm one of the oldest, but in a few more years I will be young compared to most of my friends' age when they have their LOs.
I think it depends on where you live and what your goals/values are. My BFF had her LO at 25 (one mentioned above) because she wanted to finish grad school first (got married after she got her BA). My current non-married friends are pursuing law degrees, grad school, opening businesses and travelling. Whereas DH and I had already been married for a number of years, I'll be in school forever and don't want to wait until I'm done (probably 35 at this point), we owned a condo, had health insurance, life insurance and a retirment plan (while in college). So we felt we were ready, regardless of age.
Not so sure about that now! Though the age wouldn't change it.
I think I have a special snowflake situation...We got married at 20 while still in college and adopted at 23. That was in Feb...in March we found out we were pregnant! So we will be welcoming our 1st and 2nd child while we are 23. Though we wouldn't change it for anything...we don't really know many others our age that have kids.
Re: When Did You Have Your First Baby (Poll)
How about a Special Snowflake here?
