I posted yesterday that I only felt the baby move (minor moves) a few times yesterday. Then later in the evening I don't think I felt him at all. I was awake multiple times last night because of a toothache and everytime I woke I waited and felt nothing. Today same thing. I used the doppler this morning and it took me along time to find the HB which is odd, usually it is right there. It took long enough for me to have a break down and start crying. But then I found it and although it was muffled, it was there and normal. But I can't help but worry about not feeling much yesterday and now today. I had my OJ this morning and still nothing.
I am scared. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the baby changed positions and because of my anterior placenta is not in an area that I can't feel him and the hb is harder to reach, but I don't know that for sure. I think if this continues all day, I will call the doctor and see what they say.
Should I be worried? Talk me through this, I hate being scared.
Re: I am still worried. :(
Try eating popsicles, that's what the nurses always give me when Kendall won't cooperate on the monitor. The babies don't like the cold plus the sugar helps.
I would call the doctor if it helps ease your anxiety, but since the heartbeat is normal, I bet your baby just changed positions, or maybe baby is not moving around so much because s/he is busy going through a grow spurt and needs its energy for that!
Try not to worry too much, that heartbeat is really good sign!
Kaytee - I have been eating ice cubes both last night and this morning and nothing.
I have a toothache - that is why I have been eating ice.
Hi Lisa,
I'm sorry I don't have any advice for you because I'm not that far along. I would call the doc if you're worried. I'll be thinking of you.
Ditto all the others.
I always feel the girl much more than I feel the boy, simply because of where she is located. The boy is a bit behind her and last week he was facing my spine, so I hardly felt him at all.
Don't worry..he's probably fine. :-D
Lisa,
I am going through the SAME exact thing right now...usually he is a lot more active, but I am thinking he is just resting or he is in a completely different position. I still feel him, but not as much as I did before.
I would call your doctor-just the reassurance to know that he is okay is what is important!!
I promise to keep in touch with you!
