meet the midwives

in 3rd Trimester

So I am using a midwife for the baby and LOVE her.  But much like a doctor she works in a pratice of 12 of them and who ever is on call is who will come to deliver the baby.  I am so comfortbale with her i am just hoping and praying but with 12 the chances are so small that i will get her.

Tonight the pratice has this thing called "meet the midwives" where all 12 will be there and you go and meet them.  I am sure there will be a Q and A period - can any of you think of any good questions to ask, i am stumpted...

    You are so smart and lucky to have a midwife!  My OB's practice has like 25 people and I am crossing my fingers for the midwives myself.  I would ask them how long they will let you go before they will induce.  42 weeks is ideal--at least in my OB's practice.  Anything before 41 and 4 days is premature.  Also, ask them if they will encourage natural childbirth and discourage intervention.  It is So important to have people who will respect your birth plan.  For what it's worth, midwives have seen more natural births than OBs these days.  Sad but true!
