I have to laugh, my dr just went away for a week so if I go into labor, I will have who ever is on call at that time to deliver baby.
My SIL is a nurse at the hospital...she brought me a memo last night that says on Sunday at 6am-Monday at 8am, there will be NO obstetrics doctor at the hospital...what the heck?? If someone is to go into labor at that time they will transport them to our nearest city which is 1.5 hours away!! I don't know whether to laugh or cry- and hope baby comes before that or just after!
I think I am having some really ODD things happen lately...lol last week, I was told not to have to baby if I could help it because the maternity ward at the hospital was BEYOND busy!! lol
I guess I am just going to smile and laugh through these odd circumstances that keep popping up!!
Re: NO doctor? what the heck?
I'm concerned about that too. My due date is Oct. 1st, and I'm so worried they'll be having a "busy day" due to all the scheduled inductions and c-sections that people will no doubt want to have so their babies can be 10/1/10.
this is how it always is where i live. you have a regular OB you see throughout your pregnancy but when you actually go into labour and go to the hospital, its just whichever dr that is working at that time that will deliver your baby.
Don't worry about this - If the L&D unit is too busy with people going into labor naturally, they will not start elective inductions.
Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!
