I need to cut a hole in my mattress!

I want so badly to sleep on my stomach!!!  UGH.

I have not been sleeping the best with having to sleep on my sides.  I toss and turn from one side to the other all night long AND laying on my side for too long makes my hips ache.  If only I could cut a hole in my mattress and enjoy sleeping on my belly...

  • Me too! Someone asked me the other day, what I was looking forward to the most when not pregnant (besides baby, of course), sleeping on my stomach is one of the things I miss the most. Not that I'll be able to get any sleep once the baby gets here anyway!

  • I hate sleeping on my side also!  Have you gotten a maternity pillow?  I have a candy cane shaped one (I had to get it early because of the hip pain associated with sleeping on my side) and I can lean on it front or back and it does a pretty good job of simulating sleeping on my stomach or back.
  • I don't like not being able to toss and turn as easily (and I miss tummy-sleeping too), and sleeping on one side all night makes me have the weirdest, psychopathic-oddball-horror-dreams ever.

  • I am a horrible offender of back sleeping. I have a pg pillow and get so stiff from sleeping on either side and my back is just heavenly. I had a prenatal massage and they had a special pillow to be on your belly. Awwwww delightful!
  • I know.  I'm in heaven at the chiropractor where she has a pillow with a dip in it for my belly and I can lay on my stomach.  Maybe I should ask her if I can buy one!
  • Nothing seems to help me!  Sleeping is absolutely miserable.  When I had DD, the first thing I wanted to do when I got home was sleep on my stomach.  I feel the same way this time around too.  I have terrible pelvic pain, so sleeping on my side sucks.  I lose my breath when I am sleeping on my back, and I hate to sleep on too many pillows.  It's just lose-lose for me!!

  • condsider it before laughing, lol...

take the middle cushion off of your couch, and lay on your stomach...i do it, lol...

  • I tend to wake up mostly on my back, but a little slanted from my prego pillow. I'm not big enough yet that I can't sleep on my stomach, my little man just likes to kick me when I do (I'm convinced it's because I'm squishing him). I've never done it to sleep for the night, but sometimes when I take naps I position my prego pillow so there's a loop and lay my belly in it. Mine is "J" shaped and has velcro arms on the hook end so you can attach it anywhere else on the pillow & it stays. I just fill in under my legs with a couple pillows so I'm all the same height and lay my upper body on the straight part of the pillow. Works pretty well for naps.
