I did call the hospital, and they said to do what made me feel most comfortable. Unfortunately, they are an hour away and I don't want to wake DH for the drive, wake my mom to come over for DD, and then get sent home only to have to go back at 9 am for my doc appt.
When I am lying down, contractions are 7-10 minutes apart, and they have been for about three hours. The last one was pretty intense. BUT I sit up and they are less intense, and a few minutes further apart. WWYD?
Re: Would you go?!
It all depends on what your birth plan is as well, if you plan to labor at home and just walk until youre ready to deliver then I would wait and see what happens. If you want to labor in a tub and or have an epidural and it doesnt matter to you to labor at home then I would go at at least 6min apart. JMO
good luck this may be it for you!
This... I was at the hospital waaay too long with DD... but I layed down a couple hours ago and no contractions woke me up, so I didn't end up going. Still home and no more contractions- big time bummer.
I live about 45 minutes away from the hospital I'm delivering at. That being said, my OB instructed me to phone his office when they are 7 minutes apart instead of the usual 4 minutes apart.
