Middle name for Adeline?

We have a very common last name (Smith) and are having trouble coming down with a middle name for Adeline.  Any suggestions?  We also like Abigail Riley but with Abigail being so overused, we are looking for other options.

Re: Middle name for Adeline?

  • I think Riley would work with Adeline too.

    Some other ideas:

    Faye

    Brooke

    Claire

    Joy

    Katherine

    Hailey

    Corinne

  • Honestly, most names seem to work; you just have to avoid names that end in -lyn. Here is a totally random list:

    Adeline Matilda

    Adeline Clarisse

    Adeline Elizabeth

    Adeline Claire

    Adeline Rose

    Adeline Morgan

    Adeline Peyton

    Adeline Penelope

    Adeline

  • Kudos in picking such an amazing and lovely fn! Adeline Quinn, Adeline Reese, Adeline Violet, Adeline Maeve, Adeline June, Adeline Rose, Adeline Elise, Adeline Scarlet, Adeline Claire

  • I also love the suggestions of Corrine, Matilda, and Penelope.

  • I don't like anything too long for a MN- I think it takes away from the flow of the first name (which I love btw!)

    Adeline Renee

    Adeline Grace

Just be careful of the middle initial (No Sarah or Samantha! lol)

  • Adeline and Abigail are our top two girl choices as well, and I have also considered Riley.  I guess we have pretty similar styles!  I haven't thought of a MN for Adeline yet either, though I do like Cate, Rose, Jean/Jane (family names) or other short names.
