3rd Trimester

Pain question...

For about 2 hours now I've had this pain in my lower belly, like way low, where my pubic area meets my stomach. It feels like a menstrual cramp, but it's constant, it doens't come and go. If I'm sitting it's not bad, but if I'm up moving around it's pretty painful. Baby is moving around fine like she usually does, so I'm just wondering... could this be BH? I've heard they aren't painful...TIA

Re: Pain question...

  • You are probably dehydrated.  I get pains like that if I don't drink enough water.

  • BH do not hurt. I can tell the difference in cramps, contractions, and BH. Drink a lot of water and see what happens. if it still continues you might ask your dr. but i always said, cramps mean growing. i told my dr. today at my 2 week about having a lot of cramps and he said that he'd worry if i wasn't having any cramping because of how much they grow.
  • not BH, they're not painful.  Call the Dr.
  • Call the Dr.  It might be a bladder infection.
  • Thanks ladies. I ended up calling the Dr. and because I'm 35 weeks (ticker is screwed up) they had me come in. After 3 hours or monitoring, 2 internal exams, 6 cups of water and a pain pill, they came to the conclusion I was in fact, dehydrated, and my baby had dropped and her head was the pressure I was feeling!
