instead of waiting for hours on hold, calling and recalling, googling your little hearts out - why dont you go buy new formula for your kid? THEN, tomorrow or the next day, call when its not as busy or when the site is slower.
WOW. You are really being nasty tonight. I DID go buy my kid new formula but I figured I would try to call tonight. I was frustrated that i dot disconnected and my DH isnt home....wanrted to vent. Pull that stick out of your as$.

People are doing something--going to the store and buying more but again they are concerned and it isnt like this happens every day and it is a bit worrysome. But it is not like the same person is posting over and over and over freaking out. Obviously a lot of us feed our LO Similac.

how are they supposed to bump and drive? At least this way they can call with one ear, type with one hand and act like sky is falling.
People, it's beetle larvae, not cyanide. Chillax?..
Agreed. Our formula was recalled but we haven't had any issues with DS not eating or acting fussy. I figure people all over the world eat bugs soooo....
My dad said that the beetles just "add extra protein", haha!
We are going to replace his formula, though, and use some Enfamil sample cans until then. I'm just not getting my panties in a wad over it.

i said "hmm better check."
then that was it. dear lord.
Fine. That was how you handeled it. Others are different. All I am saying is you should just take it easy with your snarky comments about how people react.

I agree that people are being hysterical but I would be upset if DS was on Similac (he's on Nutramigen). He has a very sensitive stomach and a change in formula would be 2-3 days of hell for us. I would definitely be sitting on hold all night on the chance that my formula was ok and I could avoid the formula switch hell.
Honestly, I'd probably continue feeding him Similac....would that make me a bad mom?
If I used Similac and it was re-called I wouldn't bother calling, that would be the last time I used the product.
That's rather dramatic.....tomorrow could be Enfamil or Goodstart.
I don't think it is too dramatic. I remember when Iams was recalled because the food was tainted and both of my pets died because of it.
Do people not get that this is WHY companies do quality control checks? To catch these things? They know that stuff can happen no matter HOW careful they are so they test the formula. Similac is a good company with a good reputation (as is Iams...the pet food recall was bad but I understood that it was not something that was done purposefully and appreciated the prompt attention to the issue) and they are doing exactly what they are supposed to do in this situation. It's unfortunate that these things happen BUT this is why the checks are in place.
I have a container that ends in T20. By the time I found out about this recall, there was only 1 scoop left from that can. I had already been to the store yesterday and picked up the Up and Up formula to try that. But about an hour before I found out about the recall I dumped the Up and Up into the Similac container because I liked how that container was smaller.
At first I was very upset and thought I would have to dump that formula and get new. Then I read the article about the recall and the way I read it was that it was a voluntary recall and the formula COULD have been contaminated. My daughter ate the entire container and did not show any signs of sickness. So, I am going to continue using my Up and Up brand that I put in the Similac container. They only reason I will switch is if she doesn't do well on the Up and Up. As of now, she is spitting up a bit more than usual.

You can return that empty container to Similac for a credit, FYI.
Re: now, this might seem too easy but
You're a genius. I swear.
tonight i feel like one!
//truth
but at least i have common sense. dont be jeals'
I'll stick with genius. I don't understand the mass panic.

you don't know my lyfe!
feeding their child tainted food is a concern for some parents and they dont need your back handed bitchy comments. just give it a rest.
hahah yes. be concerned. then do something and move on. the stress! the dramatics! the posts! oh my!!
lol. There you go using logic again.
Name calling is for lamesauces that can't come up with anything clever to say.
Stop calling her a ***. It only makes you look hysterical.

Yeah b!tch! Quit being so logical and doing something about what is bothering you rather than sitting around b!tching about it! HOW DARE YOU!
I'm not name calling..I'm telling the truth.
i feed my kid similac.
BOOOYAH!!!
I'm pretty sure you called me trailerpark trash on the other post. Stick to your own advice!
And were you concerned when you heard about the recall?
i said "hmm better check."

no she said you live in a trailer in the sticks. you added the trash, i believe.
oooh, burn

I'm pretty sure we both know exactly what she meant, so let's drop the semantics!
