So we went to have our scan and chat with our genetic councelor.
Baby was excellent! A strong heartbeat and s/he was moving around like crazy. Baby was opening mouth a lot, which looked like yawning, arms were up and down a lot, too. It was so thrilling to get to see the baby being so active.
At the post-sonogram counceling session we got good news. Even though I'm 35, I tested on the "Genetic Risk Table" as if I were a 20 year-old woman, which really lowers the baby's risk level for Downs and Trisomy 18/13. We're 92% in the clear for a healthy baby!
We couldn't be happier.

Re: Back from NT Scan! (PIP)
Aww great news.
I have to go back for a second set of blood test then they will go over the results.
The U/S looked great and out Little Bean was active. I have to get some pictures up here.
Great news! We are going in tomorrow morning but heard the heartbeat with the MW last night so I feel a little relief from that.
Are you still up for yoga? I'm planning to start soon but I am definitely still pretty tired.

Hi J - So glad to hear that you got to hear the heartbeat yesterday. You'll have to fill me in on how your appt. goes this morning.
I'm totally in for our yoga but like you, would love to wait a few more weeks. I'm still pretty tired and my nausea is in full effect in the late afternoon and evenings at this point. So, lets check in with each other in a week or two. I'm glad we're doing this, though. I'm starting to feel super-achy.
