Ugh.
Last night was night two. The first night he did great, last night not so much. He slept for four hours after our nursing cut off and once he woke up I nursed him briefly per the method but didn't let him fall asleep at the boob. Man, did this piss him off. He screamed, cried, tantrumed for two hours off and on until he finally passed out. DH and I got up and walked with him, sang to him, rubbed his back, explained to him that mama, dada, baby, and nanas were going night night, everything. Nothing seemed to console him and he would get even more pissed off when I told him nanas were sleeping.
This morning he woke up happy and smiley and I made a big production out of telling him that nanas were awake now and that he could eat all he wanted.
*sigh* It does get better, right? I figure it'll get worse for a couple more days after we do the complete cut off after tonight.
Re: Anyone following Dr. Gordon's method?
i'm considering it as a possibility for us down the line. i've read others report that it DOES get easier, but i don't think it's easy peasy either.
GL! and keep us posted.
