The only place I can find it is Babies R Us and Walmart. DD will only take the RTF so we can only find her's at Babies R Us. Walmart sells the the powder. Someone told us Shop Rite once, but I haven't checked there yet. Alimentum is the only formula DD can tolerate. It took a few days after switching to it, but she's doing great on it.
My son was diagnosed with acid reflux and had sensitivity to proteins also when he was 7days old, his Dr. switched his formula to Alimentum an warned me that it is pretty costly *here its 26.00 per 16oz can*.. he was able to give me some 8oz sample cans an we tried it out and it works wonders, I personally wouldnt change it for the world. My son was fussy, projectiled his milk and threw up out his nose, so I am very happy with my switch to alimentum.. although some drs say that once a baby is on a protein sensitive milk, it may be hard on there little stomachs later when they have to switch to cows milk.. but I guess I'll have to wait to cross that bridge when it gets here.. also if anyone has a baby that projectiles there milk an its hard for them to keep milk an other liquids down, Try THICK IT, that stuff is wonderful also, doesnt have a taste nor does it change the texture in BMs.. only has a few extra calories.. Hope this helps someone!
Re: Similac Alimentum is not recalled.
