  • The whole dishwasher thing annoys the crap out of me.  AND the bathroom trash thing, if I want it taken out I have to put it by the door so he'll take it on his way out with the kitchen garbage.  :P
I used to be a big deal.  Now I'm just old.

    Haha.

The only thing that H does to irritate me is putting dirty dishes on the counter. right beside the sink. literally, on the edge of the sink. JUST PUT THEM IN THE SINK!!!

Not sure why he does it, but I have threatened to slice him for it numerous times.... here's hoping he learns before I get a sharper butcher knife.

  • That's a great thread! I love having guy insight sometimes. DH leaves cabinent and dresser drawers open and it drives me BSC. He's also notorious for asking my opinion (when he already knows what he wants to do) then saying "really? Why do you want to do that?" For example, DH: "Traffic is a little backed up, should I take this exit?" Me:" Yeah, go ahead." DH: "Well, why do you think I should do that? Wouldn't it be better to take the next exit?" Really DH? Really? Why do you ask me what I think if you don't wan to hear the answer. Ahhh!!!
  • Thanks for the suggestion!  I only read the first page, but I was definitely LOLing.  I loved DAH's answers.  They make total sense in a warped guy way.

My DH is guilty of several of those... He doesn't empty the dishwasher and doesn't put his dirty dishes in the dishwasher.  He doesn't empty ANY trash cans, even though he's in charge of taking the trash out.  I always have to empty all trash cans and place the bags by the door.  He leaves his dirty clothes on the floor, just a few feet away from the hamper that is outside our bedroom door.  AND he constantly leaves unused time on the microwave.

    Siiiiiiigh.

  • I'm sooo the guy in our relationship.

Mr.MM does the cleaning, dishes, cooking and grocery shopping.

I contribute but not to the extent that he does things around the house. My excuse is that Mr.MM is slightly OCD and I do things the "wrong way". It's much easier to just let him do it the "Right way"

The only thing he doesn't do is my Laundry but I don't do his either. He puts mine up wrong and apparently I put his up wrong. We have quite an interesting relationship.

  • The dishwasher thing I can relate to also. I actually taught DS to push in his chair and scrape his plate in the garbage after dinner. I mainly did this so I could keep saying it out loud in hopes that H got the hint without me nagging him. It's working and DS actually calls daddy out on it when he forgets. My 2 year old is so well trained, lol

    Yep :)

That guy is a perfect example of how to not be a creepy guy on the bump, lol.

  • That thread made my day. Thanks so much for the heads up.
  • Haha, that guy has a really great writing voice!  He should do a blog.

I have to admit though, my husband always does the dishwasher.  It's his "thing."  I do all bathroom stuff though.  Which is why our bathrooms look like crap right now.

Funny. I want the complete opposite! We only have one sink and it drives me bonkers that my husband fills it with pots or glasses so that I then have to pull stuff out to have enough space to wash them. I've asked him a million times to just leave it on the counter! lol

  • OMG. That guy is effin hilarious. I love him and his post.

I want H to reach his responses and see if they match up?! haha

ETA: But for the most part, MH is pretty awesome at house cleaning. I'm so lazy at times and he does the dishes and washes his own clothes, cause he knows if I don't do 'em then he won;t have any.

He's a big boy, he can handle it all on his own, except for cooking. I do that!

He helps me clean the house when it's needed as well. BTW, MY totally doesn't pee on or around the toilet, he aims pretty good and I've never had to clean up a "mess" and he puts the toilet seat back down! Ohh I love him soo! lol

  • I LOLed at the one about the Dark Knight sample conversation. I swear my DH starts a conversation in his head and then halfway through decides to speak out loud to include me and expects me to know what he's talking about.
