Parenting after a Loss

Leaving DD overnight this weekend... first time... nervous!

So, that wedding is this weekend. DH is best man, I'm photographer. We are taking my younger sister along, but since she'd rather not hang out in a boring hotel room the whole time, we are going to drop her and Kaygan off about an hour from where the wedding is, and they are going to stay with my youngest sister at the camp she works at.

Since the B & G keep expressing how much they want to see K, we are taking her with us up their on Friday afternoon so they can see her, and everyone that DH has grown up with will get to see her at the rehearsal BBQ. After everyone gets their chance to see her, I'm taking her and meeting my sisters halfway and they are taking her back to camp with them... and then I don't get to see her again till Sunday!

I'm freaked out! I have full confidence in both my sisters, even on their own, so both together should really make me feel better. They both know CPR, one has an early childhood degree... they are totally capeable

So why don't I feel better about this? Sad

  • That would be tough.  Hang in there and try to have a good time.

  • it's always hard leaving them....especially the first time. Make sure you are clear with your sisters on how you do things: feeding, sleeping, play time..and try to enjoy your time with your husband and friends. Breaks are nice and they are good for everyone. Have a great weekend!
