Please recommend your Pediatrician in the Shoreview, Arden Hills, Hugo, White Bear Lake, Vadnais Heights, Maplewood area and NOT Northern Lights Pediatrics!!!
I don't take my girls to a pediatrician, but I love our family Dr at the HealthEast Vadnais Heights Clinic. I've had a positive experience with all the Drs there, but especially like Dr Ryan ***.
My sister-in-law swears by Dr Rachel Bye at the HealthEast Maplewood Clinic. She's a pediatrician.
Wife to an amazing man and mom to three darling girls!
We go to Dr. Catherine Berry at the Fairview Lino Lakes clinic. We didn't have one picked before DD was born and she was doing rounds in the hospital when we were there. We liked her from the beginning and will stay with her as long as we can.
I've never taken K to see her, but I see Erin Micallef at the health partners White Bear clinic and she's a family practice doc, as is her husband. I LOVE her.

I can't go to healthpartners They don't take Medica anymore ...I found out the hard way on that one too because I used to go there and then got stuck with a pretty hefty bill for an office visit.
Thanks ladies for all the suggestions. The HealthEast Clinic in Vadnais is on my Medica page so I might check them out...assuming I don't calm down and forgive Northern for their stupidity.
I don't know what all happened...but if it was just the one bad appointment, I don't know that I'd write them off yet. Of course, if it was more than that, I don't know how I'd feel.
I do know that my nephew had a horrific blood draw there at his 3 year appt, and Dr. McCabe is perfectly fine with sending all lab work orders to Children's from now on, as they are much better at sticking little little kids.
Of course, I don't know what all happened. But I do know that the clinic manager is (typically) pretty responsive to complaints as well. There are a few really crappy nurses there though too, which I'm sure is true of all medical clinics.

I go to Northeast Pediatrics off of Hwy 96 in Vadnais Heights. I see Dr. Bedford LOVE HER!
When my DS was born she was the on call pedi at United. I had seen her around the hospital and heard good things about her. (I worked at United) She is great! I love her personality, she has raised 5 kids of her own and full of information. She helped me with my nursing more then the Breastfeeding consultant did or the home nurse that came out to help me even!
I hope you find a good Pedi you are comfortable with.
I've seen of the Family Practice Doctors with Family Health Services (Formerly MinnHealth). We go to Northern Lights too. We lucked out and only had billing issues, but I've heard tons of people having problems lately.
I'm sorry to hear your little guy had a bad visit. Your story worries me as I had a similar experience a couple times there. At the time I thought it was just his chubby arms making a blood draw difficult but maybe there is more to the issue? Was the experience bad enough to switch clinics? If so would you mind messaging me? I am wondering if I should switch as well?
