I still can't believe that I have a reason to be posting on this board, but I can use all the support I can get. On 9/1/10 at 38w5d pregnant, I noticed decreased movement from my sweet little girl. I had worked the night before (I am an RN and work nights) and came home and slept until 2:30pm. When I woke up I realized she was not moving like usual. I tried some tricks- ate dinner and had a lemonade, but with no response from her. I was hoping she was just preparing to come out. I called the OB at 6:30 who had me come in to the hospital for a non-stress test. We arrived at 7pm and were taken to a triage room. The nurse couldn't find the heart beat. The doctor then came in and did an ultrasound. He told us her heart had stopped beating. We were devastated.
I was induced. I started with cervadil that night and had a foley bulb/pitocin the next day. My sweet little Ella was born sleeping at 3:55am on 9/3 after 40 minutes of pushing. She had a full head of daddy's dark hair, daddy's lips, my nose and the most adorable hands and feet I've ever seen. My heart is still broken that my perfect little girl is gone.
We had her creamated so we could bring her home with us to our new house. We have a beautiful baby block urn with her remains.
We have a great desire to have another child as soon as the OB clears us to TTC. We can never replace our beautiful little girl, but our desire to be parents to a take home baby is great. I hope to find support from you ladies and try to support you all as well.
Re: looking for support...

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss as well. I love the name Eliott. Hope we can lean on each other for support in the coming months.
Being an RN was hard, but delivering at the hospital I work at was even harder. I am so thankful for two of my L&D nurses. They were amazing, so compassionate. I hope to go back and see them when I am ready. I also hope that next time I am there (under better circumstances I pray!) for l&d that they are my nurses. How far along were your twins? I am so sorry for your loss as well. Your daughter is beautiful by the way!
