whoo-hooo!!!! ultrasound!

i had an ultrasound this morning. it was so freaking great! they took us early since my cycles are so irregular due to my PCOS. they just wanted to check how things are going and to try to see how far along i really am (my cycle says 8 weeks, but we weren't sure). they still aren't sure how far along i am... somewhere between 7 & 8 weeks.

we were able to hear the heartbeat... it was strong and beautiful at approx. 131 beats per minute. the doc said it looks really really great, healthy and strong.

the only hiccup was... there might be two babies (which isn't really a hiccup at all). there was another formation in there but we couldn't get a clear shot; at some points and angles it looked like there was some pulsating but again, she couldnt' get a good view. so, she's going with there is either a twin (!!!!) or i have a really really big yolk sac.

we'll find out more when i go back on Oct 13th for another ultrasound and to get better measurements to figure out my due date.
