I had a feeling this would happen! I guess I have to start monitoring my blood sugar and watching my diet. I meet with a dietician to learn more sometime soon. Any ladies on this board with gestational diabetes?
After 4 years of unexplained infertility, IF treatments and 3 losses we have our miracle baby!
Just took my 1 hour yesterday so hopefully not, but we'll see. Sorry you have it but hopefully the diet won't be too much of a struggle for you.
I give up trying to get a ticker. I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome. Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself. Hmmm. How about...

I had gestational diabetes with my first but not my second. We've yet to find out for baby#3. I remember feeling like I'd somehow failed my baby and my body when I first found out I had it. But it wasn't that awful. I checked my blood sugar regularly and with a bit of a modified diet was able to keep my levels in a very safe and normal range and it also kept the weight gain from getting out of control. My baby was not huge like everyone said he would be, instead he was a perfect 7 lbs 0 oz.
Best wishes mama!

Sorry to hear that. I think I'll probably be joining you when I test again at 28 weeks. Hopefully diet modification will help you keep your blood sugar in control!

I'm sorry! That's scary stuff. I'm hoping and praying when I take the test next month I won't end up with GD. I failed the 1 hour with DS and passed the 3 hour, so I can deal with that, but I really don't want to even fail the 1 hour this time!
I don't do my 1 hour screen until October 13th, so don't know yet. But, I'm a dietitian and see patients with GD all the time. I'm happy to answer questions if you have them. The diet really isn't all that bad, and the good thing about GD is that it generally goes away right after the babies born, so it's only a short term thing! Good luck!
