I am at a loss. Do not know what to dress my ds in anymore. We need pants for school but nothing fits this kid!
He still wears a size 4 in the waist, but size 4 is too short for him. (size 5 is a little too long, but we deal with that)
I have tried size 5 with the buttons inside, but they are still too big and look stupid.
What brands make "skinnier" pants for small kids? Also, anyone know where I can get sweatpants that the draw string actually works instead of just being a decoration?
Any advice on where to go for clothes for a small boy is appreciated.
Re: Best brands for small kids?
Osh Kosh makes slims that also have the adjustable waist.
I don't think they make kid's clothing with working drawstrings any longer-- too many lawsuits because kids could possibly wrap the string around their neck and choke. (which is stupid with a pair of pants, but there you have it)

gymbo has slims. Also, I think the Arizona brand at JCPenney has slims. I think ON pants run slim (at least the girls do).
For Sweats, maybe just try the girls section. Especially like the Hanes brand at Target....they would be similar, but cut smaller.
ETA: check Children's Place - their sweats/wind pants have working drawstrings....I know Ben had a pair that did, so I checked their site and found some:

Osh Kosh, Circo (target), Gymboree all make 5 slim.
ON and Gap I think start at 6 slim but not sure.
Not sure about boys, but Ralph Lauren is GREAT for long small girls. I often hit up TJMaxx or Marshalls for RL.

They have something today that may help you.....Dapper Snappers or something that helps to cinch the waist of pants.
FYI, Lands end slim, is not very slim. I'd skip them. We made the mistake once.
