Working Moms

Does it ever get easier...

to be at work while your child is at DC? I keep hoping each day and week will get easier but I really feel each week gets harder. How has it been for you? I've been back to work for 2 months now and was really hoping it would be better by now.

Re: Does it ever get easier...

  • Honestly, it was really really tough for about 4-6 months. Then she started going to bed later and sleeping better. I felt more well rested and was less zombie like. We had some quality time during the week.I also got a better balance (WAH one day a week and housekeeper every other week) about 5 months into returning to work. I knew if I didn't fix something, it was all going to give.

But until that time, I was "surviving." Not really enjoying my job, child, life. It really stunk. But I kept telling myself that it was a phase that I needed to go through and it will pass. It did and is 100 times better. Hang in there.

  • My girl is still not STTN.  I am exhausted!  It gets easier some ways and harder in others.
  • I think it gets easier, but to be totally honest, work just isn't at the same level of importance as it used to be.  It's more of just a job now vs. my dream career.

  • My twin DDs have been in daycare since march of this year and my newest LO has been since the beginning august and I miss them every day BUT i love my daycare and I know they are having fun, learning and in good hands. They love daycare as well, they go to bed early, get up early, sleep better, and when we get to daycare they dont even care to say goodbye to me anymore
  • Honestly, No.  It doesn't.  This is for me anyway.  My children are almost 5 and 3 1/2.  I came back to work when each was 4 months old.  I hate working and sending my children somewhere else for 9 hours a day so that I can bring home money for our life.
