how do you check if a daycare is licensed?

    A licensed childcare should advertize with a lic#.  Otherwise you can call the State Licensing office in your area.  A quick name/addy search should be able to tell you if they are licensed.  If they are, you can also request a status of the license for a report of any violations/complaints.
