Hi everyone. I've been on these boards for a few months, more on the IF boards than these. Anyway, I am 11dpo and POA CBE digital this am just because. It came back "pregnant." I was excited and scared, having suffered a CP in July, so I decided to POA $ Tree cassette test and an IC strip. Both had VERY VERY faint lines. I'm having a hard time holding it together. I want to wait and retest tomorrow and Wednesday (12 and 13dpo) before calling the RE's office to schedule a beta. Am I being overly cautious? Am I really pregnant? Heard a lot about false positives with digitals.
Brief history:
July 2009 - actively TTC, been off BCP for 3 months.
5 months trying on our own, charting with crazy cycles. I was ovulating, but my LP was all over the place and short. Saw the RE and proceeded through testing. SA was great, but had an infection. Antibiotics given. Tubes open, lab work good, ovaries look great if small. Had a lap in December to rule out endo and to remove uterine polyps.
Polyps came back precancerous and had to stop TTC and go through treatment. May's biopsy came back all clear. Started Clomid for 2 cycles, the 2nd ending in a CP. Waited one month and with my 3rd cycle, here we are.
Re: Intro & question re: digital vs. $ Tree HPT
I never had good luck with Dollar Store ones. The lines were very light for me.
Because I would pee in a cup and invested tons of money in tests, I would use the same urine sample and test several brands / types at once and see what would happen and compare / contrast results. And the results DID vary from test to test. Some were much stronger / quicker than others.
I kept a result chart on an Excel worksheet so I could see the patterns of what worked best for me and at what times of the day. Interestingly, I got my "strongest" and "quickest" results with afternoon urine instead of FMU.
My obsession, um, I mean my "research" resulted in finding a brand that worked best for my body chemistry and would give me the darkest lines.
Bottom line - I would buy a few different brands of tests (and styles - two lines, plus sign, digital, name brand and store brand) and test again tomorrow.
Wishing you the best!
