Actually... what happened was the board was first just Diapering. There's a rep from Pampers on the board! Amazing what money will get you.
Well, all the cloth diapering folks took it over with questions. So then we got a Cloth Diapering board and the other board became Connect With Pampers (or vice versa, but essentially just diapering wasn't going to get the right effect.)
It's ridiculous, anyway. I find all the 'So, tell me about Drymax issues' questions hilarious. I don't think their PR project is going the way they intended.

I could see having one for cloth and one for regular but to have a pampers one just makes me giggle.
I lurked the first day they changed it and it was brutal. People going on and on about the diaper rash debacle and how Pampers called mom's idiots for not knowing what diaper rash actually was.

Half the posts are complaints about chemical burns and rashes, the others are very defensive of pampers-makes me wonder how many of them work for pampers. otherwise it's just weird.
After studying how companies can try to move toward consumer directed marketing strategies and change the communication flow from being just company -> consumer to company <-> consumer, I think it's a pretty smart thing to try. And the bump can generate revenue from it - TO MAYBE FUND A SEARCH FEATURE! (j/k, sort of, ha!).
Also the negative information is sort of isolated in the bump bubble, not on their national website. So it's sort of like a pilot study on transparent 2-way consumer-manufacturer communications.

Might be fun to go over and post about Huggies. I am just begging the Bump to ban me ;P
