What's the one thing that you can do that makes our house feel or look clean... Even when it's not?
Mine is to vacuum and the light my scented candle in the kitchen! The house feels and smells clean and it took me 5 minutes.
my husband thinks I clean the bathroom ALL the time and it is true, I do clean it a lot. But to me if the bathroom is dirty the whole house feels dirty. I also vacuum and clean the kitchen floor a lot. Those are my two biggies.
Putting the toys away, cleaning off the dining room table, and vacuuming. We have a small place so it tends to look very cluttered if even one toy is scattered across the floor.

This. Our kitchen and living room are like one big room so this makes it feel very cluttered all the time.
When the dishes are done, my house feels so much more manageable. My downstairs is all one room...kitchen, dining room, living room and office/junk pile!
I don't feel like the house is clean unless it smells like Pine Sol. It has to be the original scent not the lemon or ornage scents. LOL.. There is something about that smell that makes me feel like I have accomplished something

If I could pick only one thing, its vacuum. I do the downstairs wood floors and the carpet upstairs. Huge difference! If I were to add another thing, it'd be to windex the appliances and glass table in our kitchen - no more fingerprints!

I totally agree! My mom used to mop with Pine Sol when I was little and now that smell makes me think of "clean"!
I make sure all the kitchen counters are cleared off and the living room toys are off the floor. I also put flowers or pine cones from outside in a vase in the kitchen and light a candle. The flowers help make it look fresh even though they are mostly weeds. Sometimes I cut roses from our front yard.

Ugh, Pine Sol. Reminds me of being sick. When I was little, it's what my parents used to clean up after we were sick. Now I can't stand the smell. I don't associate it with "clean;" I associate it with vomit. Weird, huh?
Anyways, I clean the kitchen (clear counters, wipe down, put away dishes, etc.) and pick up toys. Oh, and close the doors to the messy rooms!

This!!! Just going room-to-room and removing the clutter, putting things back where they go, instantly makes my house look clean!

Declutter has to be number one. But I am pretty OCD about the house and get really antsy if it's not truly clean.
