Potty Training

Who has tried the 3day pt so far?

Did it work? What did you do about naps?  Would you rec it ?

Re: Who has tried the 3day pt so far?

  • We tried it and while she wasn't magically trained and accident free by day 3, she understood the connection that she was supposed to pee in the potty. By day 3 she was starting to pee and running towards the potty but leaving a trail in the process. The learning to hold it long enough to get there/understanding she was about to pee took a little longer. She also didn't start telling me she had to pee until a few weeks into it.

We opted not to do training during sleeping hours at this time. Yes, I'd reccomend it but know that it's very tiring and very rough the first few days!

  • Hey, thanks fo the response! I'm just curious tho, the 3 day plan says not to go back to diapers at all, even during naps and bedtime.. because it confuses them or something. Did you find that with your DD??? I too am not really wanting to stop diapers at betimes and naps because id rather concentrate on during the day etc.. But im afraid this will hinder her progress and confuse her???

you're welcome :) For my DD, she has not had any confusion when put in diapers for night and naps. We have her potty or try to before putting the diaper on and it comes off first thing in the morning. It also hasn't been too confusing when we've run short errands and I've put pull ups on her. Today was actually the first day she got confused and it was because I had a ton of errands to run and had her in a diaper most of the day out convenience.
