My parents became grandparents this weekend

I wish it was because of me.  This weekend was very bittersweet and surreal.  We drove about 24 hrs this weekend to attend a wedding and see my nephew.  I was with my DH and my dad.  I'm so happy for my family, but when people kept coming up to my dad and congratulating him, it made me really sad.  This didn't have to be his first grandchild, but I guess it is.  I want my baby so badly...  Crying

    I am very sorry, I know how hard it is.  We should have had the first grandbaby.  Just know you will have your baby, I hope it is soon.

    I'm so sorry.  I should have had the first grandbaby as well, but now my brother and his wife are going to be having the first grandbaby next month.  It's definitely bittersweet.

    I'm sorry sweetie that's hard one to swallow.  I give you props for being strong enough to be there for your family and celebrate the new LO.  And remember, your nephew may be the first, but your LO will probably be their favorite!  Wink
    Married 8/23/09 Dx: Endometriosis mc 2003, mc 2005, mc Oct. 2009 and ectopic pg Feb. 2010 Baby Girl Gracie Mae born 5 weeks early on 7/6/11. Baby boy JT born full term on 7/5/12. We are blessed!
