NBR: Nook or Kindle?

Hey everyone!
DH's 30th birthday is coming up next month and he has mentioned that he would like would of these eReader type things.
My question is, do any of you have either of these? If so, do you have recommendations...or do any of you know the difference, pros/cons, etc.?

I have a Kindle and I love it. That being said, I got my kindle before the Nook came out. What I would do if I was buying another ereader is go to amazon's website and see if they have books that your dh would like, the same for barnes and noble. Mainly b/c the ereaders aren't interchangeable b/w the sites. So some books are available on amazon (mostly older books) and some are available on b&n. The nook has a colored screen, but I think they're pretty comparable in size. Plus I think the accessories for each item are about the same too. My kindle isn't fancy like some of the other ereaders, but it's easy to use and has a long battery life, and Ive really enjoyed mine.
Another thing I've done is put the kindle and B&N ereader app on my phone that way I have access to both websites for ereaders. I'm not sure about B&N but the Kindle app will sync with the app on your iphone or BB and if you're reading a book on your phone and wanna switch to your kindle they'll sync and start you at the last page read.
If you get your hubby a Nook, I'll be interested to see how he likes it.
