no AC=no good for pregnant girl

 Our AC, I think, started leaking last night. Our carpet in the hallway in soaked.

So we had to shut it off last night and today. I am waiting for the repair guy to show up and they are taking forever!.

I cannot sleep another night with no ac. Granted, at least its not 100 like it had been, but it is still muggy and 80 and thats not fun.

Now I am debating on if I should heat the house up more by cooking dinner, or just go out or have sandwhiches...? HMM

    It's still too warm to go without AC but H in his money saving ways likes to sneak it off before we leave the house. He did it yesterday but it wasn't too bad until I woke up in a puddle in the middle of the night. Stupid pg hormones and frugal H.

    I say go out, I couldn't stand being too hot before, now it's not an option (I may want to rethink Florida). 

    OR make a nice cold dinner option, pasta salad or something.

    You're so lucky!  It's 45 degrees here today!  I am cold.  My house is even colder.

    UGH, I would die without my AC.  But, we're lucky as it's the start of fall here in Wisconsin and it's in the 60's.  PERFECT!  I hope you get the air back up and running soon!!!!!

    yuk!  how far along are you???  i would definately NOT NOT NOT turn that stove on!

    i'm in upstate ny and we had a VERY hot and humid summer this year.  i went the entire summer through my first, very nauseous, trimester with NO AC whatsoever!!!!  you can do it!  just do some cooling techniques.  ice pack on the back of your neck and the veins at your wrists, cool showers, icie drinks, etc!  you'll have it back on in no time!!!!

    I am so sorry!!  I would die if we didn't have AC!  First day of fall doesn't matter in dear old S. Carolina!  It is 93 today and will be in the mid 90's the rest of the week!  AHH!  I would def go out or have pasta salad or sandwiches!

    You should come to Calgary, Alberta, Canada! Its 3 degrees C right now (which is what, 37 degrees F?) I'll trade you spots ............. any takers?!?! YAY for snow in September ......................... Angry

    I don't think I could handle no A/C. It would be sandwiches for dinner and then out for ice cream for desert. haha

    oh no my dear, I have had my FAIR share. I just moved here from ALASKA! yay for snow from sept to May!!!!! hahaha

    Im not saying I wouldn't like it for a day, but no no. I'll take texas of alaska....maybe not in the summer, but definetly the winter!

    Oh! Hun I can certainly feel for you without AC. I (that is we) live in a double-wide mobile home at present which only has window units one in bedroom, one in kitchen. They work hard to keep the place cool in both ends.

     I hope it's not as hot in Texas as here in Alabama. We've been hot all summer here in the 100's. Now in mid-90's with evenings low/mid 70's. Today was 96.

    I can't wait to get moved into new house in October.

    I wouldn't heat the house by cooking - just get DH to take you out to eat. GL on getting your AC back on quickly.

    Luckily it's a short term thing? We only have an AC box in our master bedroom (which is a crap excuse for AC anyway). So my dilemma is not only deciding if I should cook, but if I want to live out my pregnancy days only in my bedroom. Hmmm, I wonder if DH will bring in the sound system/tv setup in there? What ding dong thought that boxes in a window was ok on this freakin island?! Oh, sorry to vent on your post. Mugginess and 80s is awful and I hope it gets fixed ASAP for you and the family!
