How old was LO when you first went out?

Getting a little stir crazy here.. how long did you wait to do "fun" outings like mall or park?

She went to Target at 6 days old. We have gotten out at least 4 days a week since then.

About five days old with both DDs. I'm sure I went to Target or the mall. I would just put a blanket over the infant carrier to prevent people from touching them. Why is it that people want to touch babies?

Get out and enjoy it.

ds was either 2 or 3 weeks. we went to bru and he slept in the carseat and we draped a blanket over him. i would be comfortable taking a 6 day old to the park it was just too damn hot to do anything in july

I'm not sure, but it was a couple of weeks. I had NO desire to take her anywhere! It seemed like too much of a hassle at the time. Plus, my df was extremely paranoid about her getting out before she had her shots at 6 weeks.

4 days? We had to take her to the pedi and we stopped for lunch at Panera and Target on the way home.

We hit Target on the way home from the hospital! I needed prescriptions and they say if a baby is healthy enough to leave the hospital, its healthy enough to go to the store. I just keep her in her travel system so no one can see or touch her.

Technically we had a pedi appt at 3 days but we went home immediately afterward. We had to do a trip to Target at 5 days but we were in and out. I honestly try not to leave the house during the day, it is just hard without DH. I am sure in another week or two I will feel up to a trip the park though.

We went for a walk the day after he was born...haven't really shied away from going out with him. I go stir-crazy at home too! Get out and enjoy your LO

We went to the park the day we left the hospital. I needed to get out and get some fresh air. I just sat in the grass with ds in his car seat while dh and dd played.
