Your Fav Beauty Secrets?

Okay so with the pressure now more than even to sort of look "somewhat normal/pretty for DH" you know.. to keep him interested and not let things get too boring- I've been wanting to try new looks/ideas. Sooo how about a good poll. Dish your secrets :)

What is your fav concealer?

Lipstick/gloss?

Shampoo/Conditioner?

Hairstyle?

Body lotion?

Special Snowflake?

Here are mine: Until someone gives me a new idea lol

What is your fav concealer? I like Loreal true match... and I use a foundation brush to apply it instead of the usual sponge.

Lipstick/gloss? I have trouble with finding a good one. I love the nude look, very light/pinkish. I recently purchased rose balm from bath & body works- and Sort of like it better than sticky lip gloss.

Shampoo/Conditioner? Again, trouble. I cannot seem to find anything that is smoothing, smells good, and allows body! Help ladies!

Hairstyle? I wear my extentions when I want a good look, but that can get time consuming so when I am in a time crunch I usually pull it up in a bump ponytail.

Body lotion? I like So In Love from Victorias secret.. smells delicious.

Special Snowflake? I got nothin'

Re: Your Fav Beauty Secrets?

  • What is your fav concealer?

    Bobbi Brown

    Lipstick/gloss?

I like a Neutrogena one, or if I'm feeling richer, Bobbi Brown.

Shampoo/Conditioner? I'm such a shampoo snob. I swear that good quality shampoo really makes me hair look that much better. I usually use Kerastase, but am switching it up with Frederic Fekkai this month.

Hairstyle? I maintain my "natural blonde" look with highlights. My mom is super low maintenance and about 5 years ago as my hair kept getting darker and darker (any other once upon a time natural blondes out there), she was like, time to start faking it, and since she never comments on my appearance, I knew she was probably right on.

Body lotion? I'm using Nivea soft right now but I really like body butters in general.

Special snowflake? I realize I sound kind of high maintenace, but because I cook a lot, my nails are short and never really done at all.

  • oooh fun

What is your fav concealer? Maybelline's Mineral Power concealer.

Lipstick/gloss? Bare Escentuals "Bianca" lip gloss

Shampoo/Conditioner? I love Herbal Essences because of the smell! So cliche..

Hairstyle? my hair icon is always Jennifer Aniston...love her hair! Mine is lighter and not as thick, kinda long right now.

Body lotion? Yum-Bath and Bodyworks Cucumber Melon or Sweet Honeysuckle

Special Snowflake? Cover Girl makes a "luminating" loose powder in peach "tub" that i brush on my cheeks before I put on blush. It's not sparkly, therefore doesn't look stripper-esque. Just give a subtle gIow. loooooooove it!

  • I've never even heard of that brand of shampoo. Do you swear by it? lol because your hair looks nice in your siggy lol!

  • Shampoo/Conditioner?  I am a big fan of Joico- any of them- but I use the body line.  When you use conditioner, don't put much-or any from ears up.  From ears down, take about 3-4 sections of hair and really push the conditioner through the ends.  After a few glides down the hair, you will feel your hair get silkier and thats how you know the conditioner really got in there.

  • What is your fav concealer? I also love loreal true match concealer, although it's not exactly a "true match" because my skin's so pale. Maybe I should start using white-out lol

Lipstick/gloss? I use a slightly pink tinted blistex chapstick

Shampoo/Conditioner? Right now I'm using nioxin which has seemed to do wonders for my hair. I over processed it in cosmetology school. But I also like the paul mitchell tea tree shampoo. It makes your scalp tingle and smells very nice and minty.

Hairstyle? I'm trying to grow my hair back out. I always have bangs so I guess that's a style, right?

Body lotion? I never use lotion.

Special Snowflake? I always use glow by loreal bare naturale on my cheekbones so it looks like I have some. And my favorite liquid liner is Starry Night. It's ULTA brand and kicks major a$s

  • What is your fav concealer? I use bare minerals on top of cover girl fresh complexion concealer, but am getting ready to switch to the covergirl olay simply ageless concealer

Lipstick/gloss? I use E.L.F Hypershine Gloss in several colors, love it!

Shampoo/Conditioner? Right now I am using Vive Pro Color Vive by Loreal, I have naturally red hair, but I took the plunge and got more red colored to liven up and this shampoo really makes my hair soft and shiny.

    Hairstyle? Long with long layers

Body lotion? VS or B&BW various flavors

Special Snowflake? I feel like I am starting to look old and tired.  I have always looked young for my age but lately I'll see people my age and ask dh, "do I look that old?" lol If anyone has any tips on how to keep skin looking young and fresh, spill 'em!

    My Little
  • What is your fav concealer? I use MAC foundation; I can't find anything else that stays on all day

Lipstick/gloss? I usually use Loreal lipstick. I have pretty puffy lips so I feel naked without some color on them

Shampoo/Conditioner? I go the salon route for shampoo, and I usually switch to something different every couple months. Right now, I'm in love with Healthy Sexy Hair. It smells good, makes my hair soft, and doesn't leave my hair oily by the end of the day.

Hairstyle? I have long layers, and rotate between the straight iron and the curling iron.

Body lotion? My current fave is Pear Vanilla from Bath and Body Works. It was one of their Christmas fragrances last year, so I'm really hoping that it's one they bring back this season. It's a soft, fresh smell, my hubby loves it.

Special Snowflake? I just started using the MaryKay Microdermabrasion set a couple weeks ago, and can already see a huge difference in the texture of my skin. My pores are smaller, my face is really soft, and it makes my makeup go on smoother. My husband is actually using it too because he has struggled with acne recently, and it's clearing his face too! It's kind of pricey, but I found it on Amazon for $30, which I think is worth it.

  • What is your fav concealer? Benefit...I love their boi-ing & erase paste

Lipstick/gloss? This is a shocker but I love Rimmel lip glosses & lip plumper. As well as their lipsticks.

Shampoo/Conditioner? I am currently using Brazilian Blowout products because I had one this summer. I am debating on getting another one done this fall.

Hairstyle? Long & straight...the look I envied as a little girl.  My hair looked short & was curly & fine. I always wanted more hair & it to be straight.  Amazingly by 6th grade my hair became thick....but it's still fine.

Body lotion? I like creamy baby oil lavender scented.  Does that count?

Special Snowflake? Guerlain Medeorited Powder Pearls (evens out your skin & gives it a glow) & Rimmel bronzer in the summer.  Also, products from Tarte & Smashbox.  I am a makeup junkie.

  • What is your fav concealer? mmm, I think it's Covergirl. Has a blue cap. I'm not too picky, lol.

Lipstick/gloss? Ooooh, I can't pick just one gloss! I have like three or four in my purse at all times. Plus lots of chapstick. My lipsticks are Clinique - one of the few products I'll splurge for with them.

Shampoo/Conditioner? Whatever's on sale! Man, I'm not very loyal with my product choices, am I?

Hairstyle? I flat iron my hair most mornings - today I scrunched it with my diffuser bc it's supposed to be hot and humid and I was feeling lazy!

Body lotion? I don't like the scented stuff. My skin is really dry, so I just use the generics of the uber moisturizing Vaseline body lotions.

Special Snowflake? Products I can't live without: Garnier Fructis Sleek & Strong Smoothing Milk for straight hair days, Treseme Heat Curl Activator spray for curly days. Almay eye makeup remover pads. I've also become obsessed with Burt's Bee's Blemish Stick for all of my post-BCP zits Angry

  • What is your fav concealer? I love love love Neutrogena 3-in1 Concealer for Eyes. I use it under my eyes everyday and on blemishes as they pop up. The tube is little but it lasts a reeeeeeally long time and covers super well!

Lipstick/gloss? I've never been huge on lipstick unless it's a special occasion... so my own wedding :) On normal days I stick with Vaseline (shiny and hydrating) or a clear plumping gloss! On date night a might mix a little shimmer in but that's about it!

Shampoo/Conditioner? John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. I don't dye my hair so this helps make my natural color have some dimension and shine.

Hairstyle? That depends on the day! John Frieda Luxurious Volume Lavish Lift Root Booster is my new fave for whatever style I end up with. It gives body without being gunky and actually makes my hair feel softer. Very natural volume. I've tried a lot of different volumizing products and this is by far the best I've found!

Body lotion? Randomly enough the best every day lotion that I have found is the Target Up&Up brand version of Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion. It's way cheaper than the Aveeno version, fragrance free, non greasy, non sticky and super hydrating. I keep a bottle at home and at work and am completely in love with it!

I think you're talking to me, based on my obscure shampoo tastes and the fact I do have a picture, but YES, I do swear by it, but it's expensive, so don't judge me. =) You can buy it online, just google it.

Enjoy! I like the orange Oleo Relax, both the shampoo and the conditioning masque.
