Snarky and T-TTC

a sad with a question

My crockpot died.  Crying

Well, technically it still works, but the handle broke and a screw somehow fell inside the damn thing.  You can hear it moving around.  I don't think it's safe to leave on while we are away and certainly not to transport around.

Does anyone know if I can still use the bowl in the oven?

Re: a sad with a question

  • i'm going to assume it's stoneware- so....yes?
  • Loading the player...
  • I don't see why not. If the lid has a plastic handle, then I would keep that out, but the crock itself is ceramic or stone and should be fine in the oven

  • I think its fine to use but ditto PP about the handle on the lid.

  • Yes, it is a stoneware pot.  I think the lid has a plastic handle.  Boo. But at least I have another big pot to use in the stove.

  • Oh no!  I'd try searching Salvation Army stores and considnment shops.

What are your favs to make in the crock pots?  I'm a wok/ skillet lady myself but I'd love to have dinner ready when I get home!
