  • Congrats on the bump!!  There's lots of questions that we come up with before a doctors appointment but for insistance i always forget! lol I try and write things down on a post it.  I found a website with the top 5 questions to ask at your first prenatal visit..  https://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1521533/5_questions_to_ask_your_obstetrician.html?cat=52  Best of luck!!

  • Congrats!

A lot of docs are good at prompting you and having a lengthy conversation. You'll be surprised at what you remember that you want/wanted to ask them. Big questions I'd ask are: When will i receive an ultrasound and how many will i have throughout the pregnancy? Are they performed in the office or do I have to travel to a local hospital's ultrasound department to receive it?  What foods can/can't i eat? What medications are safe , example: cold medicine, benadryl ,ect? Are my target PNV's okay or do you recommend another kind/brand?

My OB gave me a packet of info about the hospital, numbers, prenatal / childbirth classes, locations, numbers, and a list of foods and things to avoid.

  • thank you for the great questions! I just scheduled my first appt for Oct 1 and while it's my 2nd baby, I didn't even think to ask about the ultrasounds... traveling and how many.

I can't believe how much one forgets from one baby to the next!  Good luck ladies! :)
