So DH came home with an "at home gender predictor kit" from intelligender. Pee in a cup and if it turns green, it's a boy, stays yellow, it's a girl.  I think he is crazy for spending $30 on such a thing but as he already bought it, I peed in it....green for boy...DH is beyond excited and it is very hard to reel him back alittle and remind him that I'm only 13 weeks today and I wouldn't get too excited until the doctor confirms in several weeks...anyone else try one of these things? was it accurate?

    I took it when I was pg with the twins and it was accurate.  I also have a friend that used it for both of her pgs and it was accurate.  But I have heard of plenty of people getting the wrong result...so I would be cautious.

    Aww, your DH sounds sweet! 

    Sorry to say, but I think Intelligender is just as accurate as all the other old wives tales.  I didn't do the Intelligender test, but the "ring" test was accurate for us.  The Chinese gender chart was wrong. We found out the sex at 18 weeks, so you could only have 5 more weeks to wait!  GL!

    It has a 50-50 shot of being right.  There is absolutely nothing in your urine that could possibly predict the gender of a child.

    Nothing in your pee can tell you the gender of your baby. I think it's silly, but a lot of people have fun with it. I kind of wanted to do it just for kicks and giggles, I knew there was a 50/50 chance of it being right anyway.

    Actually I saw a clip on cnn with Dr. Sanjay Gupta and he said it is 80 percent accurate. And another clip on the show The Doctors which said 80 to 90 percent.....my friend did it and it was right for her.
