Vacation after baby, W/O baby?

How soon is too soon to take a 7 day vacation without LO?  We have friends planning an awesome vacation to the Dominican Republic, but my babe will only be 6 month old at the time of the trip,  That is about 4 months away from now, but since this is my first baby, I'm not sure if a 6 monyh old could handle it...or if I could?  Any advice?

    There is no magic answer. If someone you trust can keep your LO for a week, and you're comfortable with it, go for it. If you're EBFing, it may be a big problem. If you don't have anyone you feel comfortable with, that could be an issue.

    Why don't you just take your baby with you? Plenty of people take their kids to the Caribbean and beyond at that age.
