NBR: Recs for NYC modern furniture stores that aren't chains?

DH & I are coming to NY this weekend to do some furniture shopping for our new house. We have all of the chains where we live (Ikea, West Elm, Crate & Barrel...), so we're looking for NYC-only stores. We're going to go to ABC Home, but I'm looking for some additional suggestions of good NYC stores to go to. TIA!
