I am due the beginning of January. Any suggestions of what I should pack to bring my LO home in? I'm a Minnesotan, but I've been living in Florida for the past 4 years, and moved back not too long ago. For some reason, my memory of MN weather in January has been pushed to the back of my memory

I don't want to pack something too ridiculous, but I want her to be warm!

During the winter we always put socks, warm pants, a long sleeve shirt. On really cold days we would put a blanket over here and then the carseat cover. But otherwise we just used the cover.
Our was similar to this....

But had a flap to cover the face.
We were planning on just putting our LO in sleeper with feet and a hat. Then just cover the carseat with one of those showercap covers. The one we got doesn't have a flap for the face, so we're going to be throwing a blanket over her too.
And warming up the car first!

My baby was born 1/31, we just had her in a footie cotton sleeper, hat and put a blanket over her legs, and one over the whole carseat. We never bought a carseat cover (BundleMe) because I read they voided the carseat's warranty, and a blanket always worked fine. We just warmed up the car first on really cold days.
They actually stay surprisingly warm in those carseats - my baby was sweating half the time we took her out of there.
