I was wondering if there are any teachers out there (or any one else) who might have some ideas for me to share with my nanny when she is watching LO. He is only 8 months old, but it's going to get cold soon and when they are stuck inside a lot I want to give her some suggestions of stuff to do with him.
She's great and I trust that she plays with LO, but the more information the better, right?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Suggestions for nanny when the temp drops and they are stuck inside a lot
Does your nanny drive with your LO or just stay home? My kids love going to the museum and the aquarium in the cooler weather. Even DS loves it just to look at all the stuff. The children's museum is great because they have a little toddler type area where DS can crawl around while the girls play. The aquarium is also better than the zoo for DS because he notices the fish more than the animals at the zoo. They move more and don't blend in as much, I think.
Another idea is story time at your local library. Some libraries even offer music classes (similar to Kindermusik) for free.
If you're just talking about staying home, it's harder but doable. Look into craft ideas and things like that for your little one. Singing, dancing, just playing with pots and pans, balls, and tons of books.
