DH and I want to get DS something for his birthday that he can stand and play at. My friends daughter has a play kitchen, and he seemed to like standing there and opening and closing stuff, and moving the pieces around. I though we could get him the Home Depot tool bench, but its says 3 years+ and it see it has fake nails/screws that are clearly too small for him. I don't know if I could just take the small parts away until he's old enough, or if the whole thing is a bad idea. DH says the kitchen is too girly, I don't know if I agree, but not worth arguing. Does anyones LO have a toy like these that they really like and you could recommend?
Thanks!

This is what we got DD for her bday and she LOVES it! It's $50 at target and it's so well made! Several of our friends have gotten them for their kids once they saw ours.
