MrsJOSEnADRI***

The nursery came out gorgeous, great job!

We were thinking about purchasing the longer Hemes dresser for the nursery to use as a changing table as well. However after seeing you were able to fit the changing pad on the smaller dresser I'm in love! How was the quality of the drawers?

Also, did you use anything to adheres the pad to the dresser?

Thank you!!!

Re: MrsJOSEnADRI***

  • Thank you!

We really wanted the longer one, too, but it would've crowded the room too much.  With the size of her closet, this dresser worked out perfectly. I still have one drawer completely empty and the middle one is only half full.  The drawers run smoothly, but I wouldn't overpack them.  The bottom of the drawers is very thin so it can't withstand much weight.  I do recommend getting the Komplement organizers, though, so that you can store everything in the drawers in smaller compartments.  It really helps with all the small socks, caps, mittens, bibs, etc.

I haven't adhered the changing pad to the dresser with anything.  I had read that they bring a strap or something to nail it to the back of the dresser, but I didn't see anything on mine.  I recently saw a post about this on the nurseries and baby gear board and most girls said they didn't attach it to the dresser and it worked just fine.   So, I'll probably leave it like that for now.

     HTH!

  • Oh yes, the Komplement organizers are amazing. I think we are planning our trip to Ikea in 2 weekends. I cant wait to see some progress in the nursery.

    Thank you!
